Here at William Murdoch we aim to produce fine, handmade wines of character and distinction that reflects our unique terroir.

In the 1890’s William Murdoch served as a guardsman in the legendary Coldstream regiment at Buckingham Palace, where he strived for integrity, harmony and authenticity in all aspects of life. Inspired by my grandfather’s values and the Murdoch Clan motto, Omine Secundo – Under favourable omen, I planted our vineyards in William’s honour.

Based in the world renowned Gimblett Gravels region of Hawkes Bay, New Zealand, William Murdoch’s wines are beautifully elegant, yet powerful and concentrated. The wines are full of class, integrity and harmony.
